March 25, 1932 – March 13, 2024

Born in Straduhn in the German province of Pommern on March 25, 1932 the son of Johann and Hedwig Rendas on the family farm. At the age of 13 his good life was interrupted by the expulsion of all German people from that part of the country. A hard life of homelessness, poverty aud starvation made him a survivor. Eventualy at age of 15 Georg enroled in an apprenticeship in Berlin and became a machine - fitter.  In 1954 he immigrated to Canada and experienced hard times again. After much hard work on farms and lumber camps he eventually ended up in Kitchener. After various jobs in construction and in his trade, he landed the job of his life at Uniroyal as a Machinist and Millright.

Soon after, he met the love of his life Gerti and together they had a good life and a wonderful family. Georg Rendas is survived by his son Andre, his wife Tiina, children, Katja, Felixx, Nadya and Zoa; daughter Martina (mausi), husband Tom, sons Oliver and Eric; Berlin family, sister Thea Molish, niece Silvia and great niece Sophia. Georg was an active member of  Concordia Club for over 60 years enjoying the many clubs and social activities: ballroom dancing, tennis, swimming at the Farm, the Skat group and Oktoberfest.  Concordia Club was his 2nd family. Georg was an accomplished World Champion card player…not much ever came between his Wednesday night Skat group! He also had a deep love for nature, enjoying fishing, hunting, biking and swimming in the lake.  Georg enjoyed many parties, many trips to the home Country, building houses and a cottage, spending 29 winters in their beloved condo in Florida and most of all many cherished times with his immediate family and grandchildren.  A life well lived.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at the Concordia Club on Monday March 25, 2024  between 12-4 p.m.

A special thank you to the most wonderful and caring team at the Hospice Waterloo Region and the palliative team at the Grand River Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Waterloo would be greatly appreciated by his family.

Care for the family provided by Passages Cremation and Burial.
