Howard ‘Bunt’ Robinson
May 31st, 1925 - October 5th, 2023
Howard Robinson, 98, passed away peacefully at his home in Guelph, Ontario, with his family by his side. Howard was born in Toronto, Ontario to parents Pearl and Dr. J.L. Robinson.
He was the beloved husband of the late Joan Robinson (2023) for 69 years, cherished father of Cindy (Rob Waters) and Diane (Ron LeBlanc), devoted Papa of Jayson Waters (Megan Simpkins) and Hayley Waters, and loving brother to Jean Robinson and the late Dr. Gordon Robinson.
Howard founded Robinson Pontiac Buick Ltd. in 1965 and was the pillar of the dealership until he retired in 2007, at the age of 82. He was an astute and respected businessman who many turned to for advice. Howard was a staunch supporter of the Guelph community for over 58 years and a generous benefactor of many local charities. In addition, he was also an avid sportsman and loved to hunt and fish, especially near his cottage at Thunder Beach.
Family meant everything to Howard. Although quiet in nature, his strength and support was always felt. His memory will be forever treasured in the hearts of all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Delta Hotel, Royal City Ballroom A (50 Stone Road West, Guelph, Ontario) on Wednesday, October 18th, 2023 at 2 p.m., with formal remarks at 3 p.m.
