ROOYAKKERS, Jean Theresia

At the Guelph General Hospital on Thursday, June 29, 2017. Jean (Van de
Ven) Rooyakkers, in her 91st year, was the beloved wife of the late
Henricus Gerardus (Harry) Rooyakkers (1990). She was the dear mother of
the late Tony and his wife Joan, Jane Cater and her husband Chuck,
Geraldine Copeland and her husband William, the late Adrian, Helen Conway
and her husband Randy, Harry and his wife Cynthia, and Ann Thomson and her
husband Scott. Jean was the proud grandmother of 15 graandchildren and 15
great-grandchildren. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Jean was the
last survivor of 18 siblings. She was born and raised in Holland and came
to Canada when she was 23 years old to marry Harry Sr. on her 24th
birthday.

Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252
Dublin St. N., Guelph,where the family will receive their friends on
Sunday, July 2, 2017 from 1 - 2 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the
chapel at 2 p.m. Interment in Marymount Cemetery, Guelph at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation
of Ontario or to Hospice Wellington would be appreciated by the family.
