Ron passed away at the Guelph General Hospital. He was the beloved husband for over 60 years of the late Winifred (Wyn) (2019).
Loving uncle of Linda Ready (Ian Campbell) and their daughter, Mercedes. Born in London, England, he was a proud veteran of the post WW11 British Army. After coming to Guelph, Canada via Vancouver and Winnipeg, Ron met Wyn at a cricket match while he played for the O.A.C./O.V.C. cricket team. During their life together, they enjoyed various travels to Europe, the Caribbean, Asia, USA, and throughout Canada. Ron had a long and fulfilling career at W.C.Wood Company in Guelph from which a life long friendship developed with John, Barb, and the rest of the Wood family.
Our family wish to thank the outstanding doctors and nurses on the 7th floor of the Guelph General Hospital, for the excellent care they provided, and a special thank you to the wonderful friends and staff of Arbour Trails. If so desired, memorial contributions to the Foundation of Guelph General Hospital would be appreciated. Cremation and a private interment have taken place at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
