Passed away unexpectedly, in his home on Friday, January 14, 2022, two days shy of his 61st birthday. Carl is lovingly remembered by his sons Dan (Jessica Gosselin) and Steven (Alanna Barzo) and their mother Liana. He was the much loved son of T.G. “Bill” Rowlands (late Eileen) and dear brother of Scott (Karen Russell) and Jayne Lewis. Carl will also be fondly remembered by his father's girlfriend, Marie Richard, by his niece and nephews, the Longland families, past Guelph Storm billets, extended family and friends. When the boys were small, Carl shared his love of baseball with them, being a coach and supporter of the sport. His other passions were music, cooking, watching the New York Rangers, the history of planes and being a jokester. His greatest accomplishment and pride in his life, were his 2 sons. Friends must call the funeral home to register attendance for the visitation and/or funeral service that will be held at GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph on Friday, January 21, 2022. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., with the funeral service following at 12:30. We ask that you do not visit if feeling unwell or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19. Proof of double vaccination for Covid-19 and the wearing of masks is mandatory for attendance.
