Rozzi

July 9,1937-April 13,2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert A. Rozzi at the age of 84 on Wednesday April 13th, 2022, in Naples Florida, with his wife and children by his side. Robert was the dearly loved husband of Niana (Embro) Rozzi for almost 58 wonderful years. Loving and very proud father of Anthony and his wife Mariella and Andrea and her husband Claudio Di Lello. Robert was adored and loved by his four grandchildren, Robert, Michael, Alyssa and Sophia who will cherish the precious memories of their Papa forever. His grandchildren were a constant source of pride and joy to him. Dear brother of Marie Plourde of Maine, Lawrence (late Gloria) of Florida, Carolyn Chaplin (late William) of Florida, the late Fred (late Patricia) of Maine, the late Pasquale (Jeannine) of Winnipeg and the late Dominic (Jackie) of Vermont. Dear brother-in-law of Paul and Linda Embro. He is loved and shall be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends in Canada, The United States and Italy.

Born in Portland Maine, to the late Santa and Domenico Rozzi, he proudly served in the U.S. Army in The Military Police Unit as a Special Investigator in Yokohama, Japan. Robert graduated from Sir George Williams University in Montreal and went on to have a highly successful and rewarding career, both working in the corporate world and as a self-employed entrepreneur.

Robert was a past President of The Italian Canadian Club of Guelph, an active member of the San Marco Knights of Columbus in Marco Island Florida and was recently humbled and greatly honoured to receive The Paul Harris Fellowship Award from The Rotary Club of Guelph.

Throughout Robert's life, golf was a special passion of his. He always appreciated how the game of golf provided him an opportunity to connect with nature and more importantly, to foster friendships. Robert valued his Canadian and American golf family with such high regard.

After being diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma nearly seven years ago, Robert continued to be an inspiration for many through his strong faith and positive attitude. Robert will always be remembered for his uplifting sense of humour, his tremendous work ethic, his honesty, integrity, loyalty to his friends, and his deep love of family.

We would like to thank Dr. R. Foley and Karen Running, RN, for their compassionate care and genuine kindness.
