Rudden, Margaret Leggat (Monaghan)
With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Margaret Rudden on June 29, 2023 at the Elliott Community at the age of 83.
Loving wife to the late William “Bill” (2010) for 49 years. Proud mother to Elaine, Lee (Laura), Mark (Cheri) and Paul (Michele). Devoted Grandmother to Kai, Katey (Josh), Kelsey (Alan), Tyler (Mariah), Samantha (Darian), Holly and Sarah (Nick). Very proud great grandmother to Annie.
Predeceased by her parents Margaret and James Monaghan, brothers Daniel and Billy (Scotland), and John (England) Jean and John Cameron (Canada).
Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her extended family of in-laws, nieces and nephews in Canada, England, Scotland and the United States.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland Margaret emigrated to Canada with her husband and children in 1975. Despite the challenges of moving to a new country and starting over, Margaret adapted and raised her family to be successful and proud Canadian citizens.
A special thank you to the staff at the Elliott Community who made mum comfortable and welcome in her last days.
Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, 1099 Gordon St, Guelph, where the family invites friends and relatives for a visitation on Tuesday, July 4, 2023 from 10:00am-11:00am followed by a Funeral Service beginning at 11:00am. All are to welcome to join for a reception after the service in the Hart Fellowship Lounge.
As expressions of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
