Of Guelph, passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington on Thursday, October 5, 2017, at the age of 72. Loved mother of Susan and Jeff Schonnop. Dear sister of Terry (the late Edith), Dennis and Pat (Bill). Former spouse and friend of the late Stanley Schonnop (2002). Will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Maureen had an artistic flair, and was a lover of animals. Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, Tuesday, October 10 from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, October 11 from 1-2 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Hospice Wellington would be appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory of Maureen E. Schonnop in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 2:30 pm.
