Sealy Wilmont MM

Also known as ‘George’, ‘Duke’ and ‘Jimmy’ - Passed away peacefully on the morning of July 21, 2020 at Guelph General Hospital.

He was born on October 14th, 1949 in Bridgetown, Barbados. He arrived in Toronto, Canada as a young man where he attended Central Tech Highschool before eventually becoming a Plant Manager at Freeway Limited in Mississauga. He worked there for 30years before retirement. Up until recently he spent time travelling the world with his wife and nurturing a vast network of friends and family, too many to mention. He was a generous man, at times he was jovial, at times he was stubborn, at times he was direct but always consistent.

He leaves behind his wife Angela of 46 years, his mother Ina Knight and two sons Christopher (Kate) and Adrian (Nicole). Grand-children Maiya, Monika, Naima and Estelle. George was brother to Cephus, Maurice, Rodney and Henderson. Many other family members and friends. Pre-deceased by father Reuben Sealy.

We will greatly miss his humour, stubbornness and unique voice.

Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 519-822-0051 – Condolences can be sent to the family via the funeral home website below George’s notice.

The family has decided that there will not be formal funeral arrangements due to Covid-19 Protocol. We will inform you all shortly regarding ‘A Celebration of Life Event’.

The family wishes that any gifts be made as donations to the Foundation of Guelph General Hospital would be appreciated.

A tree will be planted in memory of Wilmont A. Sealy in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum.
