Of Guelph, passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, August 3, 2016, in her 65th year. Beloved wife of the late James “Jim” Semple (2008) and loving partner of Eugene Crowder. Loved mother of Jamie Semple, John Semple and Jessica Lowndes. Loving grandmother of James, Jackie and Jacob Semple. Dear aunt of Lynn Simpson, Laurie Reade, Gregory Simpson, Steve (Cathy) Wilson. Dear sister of Eleanor Simpson and Dan Wilson. A memorial gathering to celebrate Elaine’s life will be held at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph on Saturday, August 6, 2016 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Memorial contributions to the Grand River Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory of Elaine J. Semple in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 18, 2016 at 2:30 pm.
