Of Guelph, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at the age of 90 years.
Beloved wife of the late Walter Sephton (1977). Loving mother to Stan, Joanne, Tom (Cathy). Grandma will be sadly missed by Zack and Kyle. Dear sister to Marianne. Predeceased by brothers Alfred and Wray and sisters Helen, Evelyn, and Dorothy.
She spent her working career at the University of Guelph in the Agriculture-Economics Department until her retirement in 1992.
“Joanie” loved dogs and sports. She was a passionate fan of any football, baseball or hockey game that her grandkids were involved in.
The family would like to thank the staff at both St Joseph's Healthcare and the 4th floor of the Guelph General for the excellent care they provided.
At Joan’s request cremation has taken place and a private interment will follow at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL (519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Humane Society would be appreciated.
