It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tammy Serytuk of Guelph, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Tammy left us on April 24, 2024, leaving behind cherished memories and an enduring legacy.

Born on April 2, 1971, Tammy embraced life with a zest for adventure and generosity. As she aged, she didn’t have many hobbies but her passion for cooking knew no bounds. Tammy found immense joy in preparing delicious meals, sharing her culinary creations with loved ones, and creating lasting memories around the dinner table.

Tammy is survived by her husband, Dale Serytuk, who she has been with for 40 years and her wonderful children, Coby Serytuk and Regan Serytuk (partnered with Rueben Bento). She was also the grandmother of new baby, Kash Bento. Tammy was a beloved daughter to Vicky and the late Lorne Dejean, as well as the late Peter and Rose Bettiol. She was a sister to Kristen Bettiol and step-sisters Kerri Wick and Barb Wagg. Tammy also shared a very special bond with her Zia Anita.

Tammy will also be missed by her extended family, including her parents-in-law Chris and the late Don Serytuk, sister-in-law Alison Serytuk, as well as Kim and Mike Noseworthy, and Gail and Rodney Samson.

As a child, Tammy experienced the wonders of youth, filled with lots of laughter, play, and exploration. Whether it was family gatherings, holiday celebrations, or simple moments spent with loved ones, there were many occasions when laughter brought tears, music brought on dancing and good memories were made. Throughout her life, she touched the hearts of those who knew her with her kindness, warmth, and humour. When she had more than she needed, she was eager to share with those who had none.

In this time of remembrance, let us choose to focus on the moments of joy and love shared with Tammy, while also acknowledging the complexities of her journey. May she find peace and solace in the arms of eternity, free from the burdens that weighed upon her in life.

Tammy’s final resting place will be in the hearts of her loved ones, where her spirit will forever remain a guiding light. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her love, laughter, and legacy will endure for generations to come.

A special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and Hospice Wellington staff for their care and compassion.

A celebration of Tammy’s life will be held for immediate family to honour and remember her life. Arrangements entrusted to WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL (519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com).

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to Hospice Wellington in Tammy’s memory.

A tree will be planted in memory of Tammy L. Serytuk in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
