Jodi passed away peacefully at Guelph general hospital on Friday October 16th in her 52nd year with her husband and son holding her hands.
Never giving up on her battle with cancer. She faced every obstacle head on with a smile, positivity, and hope. Always trying to help others facing and going through what she was.
Jodi loved her family and friends fiercely. Was very passionate about work and her beliefs. A very generous and compassionate woman. The most loving wife, mother and friend. Loved traveling and cruises. Was an avid and very competitive gamer. Loved her backyard oasis and could spend hours there.
Beloved wife of Rick Simpson. Loving mother of Kevin Bates. Supportive sister to Danni, Wanda, Stephanie and Kevin and a loving auntie to many nieces and nephews. Loved by so many family members and friends.
Cremation has taken place and it was Jodi’s wish that instead of a service, a random act of kindness paid forward would be fitting.
