Passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington, on Friday December 16, 2016 at the age of 86 years. Predeceased by his beloved wife Margaret, January 21, 2001. Don believed in honesty, hard work and being kind to one another and these traits have been passed onto his seven daughters who will miss him dearly and forever; Cindy (Albert Synnott), Nancy (Manny Briand), Joanne (George Ariss), Donna, (George Hambleton), Kathryn (the late David Burton – April 2010), Marilyn (Steve Hoffmann), and Suzanne (Cory Taylor). Grandpa will be missed greatly by his twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Don leaves behind his brother Paul and his wife Dianne, along with sisters in law and brothers in law. Don dedicated his working life to industrial pattern making, and owned his own business, Industrial Patterns Services. During his retirement years he was always busy designing and constructing intricate and imaginative veneer boxes, wooden locks, and wooden banks, memories for his family to hold onto.Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph one hour prior to the funeral service which will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park, Guelph. Memorial contributions to Hospice Wellington would be appreciated.
