Of Guelph, passed away at the Guelph General Hospital on Wednesday, December 8, 2021.
Beloved wife of the late Frederick James “Jim” Smith. Daughter of the late Albert and Stella Messervey of St. George’s, Newfoundland, and her late aunt Georgina Filatre.
She is survived by her daughters Babette Turner and Beverly Miller (nee Turner), her grandchildren Jasmin, Spencer, Sammy, Barney and Jacob, her great grandchildren Joey and Tommy, and her siblings Jean, Locke, Valley, Bonnie, Junior and Odell.
Predeceased by her siblings Gary, Karen and Gladys and her best friend Marg Philpot.
Marina was a strong, caring, generous and determined woman that valued her independence. She found much joy and pleasure in her cats Max and Maxine. Marina loved living at Guelph Mini-Lakes with all of her friends and neighbours.
Due to COVID-19, the family is having a small Celebration of Life at 49 Trillium Beach Road, Guelph Mini-Lakes on Saturday, December 18th from 2pm to 4pm.
