Our family is heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of Samm on Wednesday June 14th, 2023 at the young age of 28.

Beloved daughter of Robert (Bob) and Leona (Lee) Smith. She will be deeply missed by her sister Amanda (Tyler Hoffman), foster brother Noah Vickery and God-sister Shyanne Watson. Loving Granddaughter of Ross and Gloria Smith; late Leo and Hendika Fortier. Cherished niece of Rick Smith (Robyn King); Rod and Ang Smith; John Kimber; Wally and Lenore Kimber; Shane and Judy Fortier; Louise Hunt and John Snyder; Elizabeth and Ralph Gizowski. Cherished cousin to Rachel and Taylor; Jacob and Josh; Chris, Robyn, John and Ron; Chris and Gavin; Nichole, Jordan and Justin; Andrew (Allison), Gregory and Adam. She will be missed by many other cousins, extended family and many friends.

Samm lived a life full of laughter, adventure and kindness. She was the first person in the room to offer help without judgement. She would jump up to clear to the table and help to clean up (unless it were dishes). She would lend you the shirt off her back or a shoulder to cry on, offering a warm embrace. She was a great collector of many things, an undiscovered artist and a poet. Her love for animals was unmatched. She had a tremendous love for her cats: King, Cheshire, Salem, Onyx and her 4 “Grand” kittens. She was extremely crafty, loved to create her own recipes, bake, and share the end results with her loved ones. In memory of Samm, have a kitchen dance party while creating a new recipe and share this with the people who mean the most to you.

Join us remotely (https://fweb.tv/103817), or in person at Gilbert MacIntyre & Sons Funeral home (1099 Gordon St in Guelph) on Friday June 23, 2023. Visitation from 10-1pm. Funeral service to begin at 1pm with lunch and refreshments to follow. Private family interment will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Guelph Humane Society, Canadian Mental Health Association or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Samm will never be replaced.
