SOUTHWELL, Helen Faith

Suddenly at her Home, on September 6th, 2017 in her 92nd year. She was the beloved wife of the late Peter Southwell for 65 years. Predeceased by her youngest son, Michael, and her grandson, Ian. Helen was the dear mother of Jill, Janet, Rob, and Stephen. She was Nanny to eleven grandchildren, and Great-Nanny of seven great-grandchildren. Aunt Helen will be missed by her family in the U.K. Helen dedicated her life to her family, always loving, providing guidance/knowledge and ensuring that her family prospered. She loved swimming, the outdoors, gardening, puzzles and quilting. She led by example with her courage to take on new things and master them. Mum, Nanny, Great-Nanny was an inspiration to her family and will be dearly missed 

A celebration of life service for Helen will be held at Gilbert MacIntyre Funeral Home, 117 Guelph St., Rockwood on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 12 noon with visitation prior to the service from 11 a.m.-12 noon. Private family committal service to be held in Johnson Cemetery, Eramosa. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated.
