It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Berthe Cecile (née Roussel) Stachyra at the age of 90, on January 17th, 2020. She passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Loved wife of the late Henry Stachyra (2002), mother of Richard, the late Jan Paul (2010) and Linda (John) Tartt. Grandmama to Phil (Amie Rae), Andreas (Lisa), Zach (Krystle Steele) and Isaiah. She was a loving Great Grandmama to Levin, Asher, and Perla. She is survived by her sister Rolande Montpetit (late Henri) of Châteauguay, QC and her extended family. She now rests with her brothers and sisters Romeo, Reno, Guy, Gisèle and Veinney.
Berthe's love, humour, curious nature and caring smile will be missed by all those who knew her. At an early age she demonstrated a strong will, adventurous spirit and an enduring faith, which accompanied her throughout her life.
Cremation has taken place. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Rosary Church, 175 Emma Street, Guelph, on Saturday January 25th, 2020 at 10:30am. A celebration of life and interment will follow at Marymount Cemetery in Guelph this summer.
