Surrounded by family and guided by her angels, Jean passed away on Tuesday May 31st, 2016; 3 weeks shy of her 96th birthday. Jean will always be remembered for her generosity, sense of humour, firey spirit, and love for her family. Despite her petite stature, Jean was full of life and love and will be fondly remembered by everyone who met her. She is now reunited with her treasured daughter, Cathy Eller, who she loved dearly. Jean was predeceased by her two husbands Anthony Stechyshyn (2002) and Stephen J Lyko (1971). She will be forever missed by her son-in-law, Rick Eller (Janet Collins); her three grandchildren who she was so proud of, Greg Eller (Jennifer); Erin Eller (Brad Jamieson) and Meghan Schrumm (Andrew); and four great-grandchildren who she adored, Quintin and Audrey Eller and Lacie and Ethan Schrumm. Jean's family would like to thank Dr Angela Lightle for all of her care and compassion during the last 10 years; Dr Andrew Burke for his gentle nature and expertise during the last two months; Saide Haddad from the Waterloo Wellington CCAC for all of her support; Danny and the Prime Care Pharmacy team for their kindness and attentiveness and Hospice Wellington for the wonderful care Jean and her family received during her final days. Jean's family will receive friends at the GILBERT MACINTYRE AND SON FUNERAL HOME, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 3rd 2016, in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetary, St. Catharines. In Memory of Jean's spirit, donations to the Hospice Wellington would be appreciated by the family.
