It is with great sadness that the family of Phil Steele announce his sudden passing at home on Monday, October 30th 2017. He will be forever missed by his daughters, Jennifer and Gillian (Steve Bielec) and small grandchildren Eva and Sid Bielec. He was dearly loved by Dori Steele (mother of his daughters) and of course by his siblings Richard, Marion and Jonathan (Joyce) and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his father Herbert ((Bert) Steele yet predeceased by his mother Pamela Steele (Knapp) in 1988.

A native of the UK, Phil had lived in Guelph for most of his life being a member of the Guelph’s 11th Field, Royal Regiment Militia, was a printing press operator by trade and spent several years working as a building manager for Homestead Ltd where co-workers and tenants alike recognized him as a kind man as we know through his monthly sponsorship with Save the Children.

Phil loved music, British food, trivia quiz nights, Dr. Who and britcoms.

A memorial gathering celebrating Phil’s life will be held at WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph on Thursday, November 9th from 6-8:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to Save the Children https://www.savethechildren.ca/be-a-lifeline/
