STOKES, Barbara Marie

Barb passed away peacefully on January 1, 2022 at St. Joseph's Lifecare Centre in her 88th year after a battle with Alzheimer's. She leaves behind her daughter Veena Stokes (Don), brother Stan Stokes (Barb), grandson Joshua Muise, sister-in-law Elizabeth Poulton, and niece Lynn Scott (Craig). She was predeceased by her parents Gordon and Ethel Stokes (Jackson), brother Gordon Stokes, and nephew Jamie Stokes (Ginny, Alexandria, Bridget and Cassie). Barb had an interesting and adventurous life as she traveled around the world working at Canadian Embassies. She lived and made friends in many different countries. She always had a strong faith and attended First Baptist Church.

We are very thankful for the wonderful staff on Bluebird Terrace who looked after Barb and were so supportive to her and her family during her lengthy stay at S.J.L.C.

Barb has been cremated and will be buried at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Brantford, alongside her mother. A Celebration of Life graveside service will be announced at a later date.
