SWEGLES, Calvin (Cal)

Passed away on April 22, 2016 at the age of 68. Cal was the beloved husband of Ilze and was the loving father to Kyle and his wife Mallory. He will be missed by his nieces and nephews; Rebecca and Heather (Coons) and Keavin, Laurel, Michael and Alex (Arness). Cal retired 10 years ago from a senior position in human resources at the University of Guelph. He was a strong supporter of the Guelph Storm for years and his love of hockey continued into a position as a timekeeper with GARHL. He traveled the world with his wife, in particular to Greece. An informal gathering of friends will take place at the Sunset Villa Danish Restaurant in Puslinch, ON, on Saturday, April 30th, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hockey Canada Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
