Laurie, who loved and cherished her two children, departed her family on April 26, 2022, at her home in Guelph.
Laurie was born in Belleville, on July 21, 1959, to George and Pearl Thomas. She was the loving mother to Brook Timothy Sisson and Brittany Elaine Pearl Sammut (Tyler Cadeau). She will be greatly missed by her children and son-in-law, who she adored so much.
She raised her children as a strong single mother. Laurie was an amazing, caring, compassionate mom who would do anything for her children. She truly brightened any room she entered. Laurie had the strength and courage to achieve anything she had her mind set on. She was the type of individual to give anyone the shirt off her back.
She will be greatly missed by her loving sisters Pat Parrington (late Myles) Trudy Asselstine (Mike) and her brother Paul Thomas (Sherry) . Predeceased by her mother and father and sister, Dawn Fleming.
Laurie will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Following her wishes, Laurie will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will take place this summer at Lakeside Church in Guelph.
