Lina, in her 78th year, passed away peacefully with family at her side at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, on Tuesday September 12th, 2023. Loving wife of John for over 57 years, Lina (nee Burton) struggled with Parkinson’s for several difficult years.
Survived by her husband John and their daughter, Kay Morby (Andy), grandchildren Andrew and Emma in Guelph, son Danny (Denise), grandchildren Trinity, Mackenna and Connor in Barrie.
Lina was born in Glasgow, Scotland and worked in the medical field and the hospitality industry. She and John, married in Glasgow in 1965, then in 1968 immigrated to Hamilton, Ontario. During their great life together, Lina and John built many memories of family times, as well as their many travels, some work related, in Ontario and the Maritimes and vacationing overseas.
