THOONEN, Henry F.

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Henry F. Thoonen of Kitchener. Beloved brother of Rosemary (Gene) of Connecticut, Ed (Kathy) of Ilderton and Fred (Lori) of Guelph. Proud uncle of Anna Dubowchik. Son of the late Henry (2005) and Elsie (2018) Thoonen of Blenheim, Ontario. Special friend of Heidi and Holly.

Henry was a retired teacher from the Waterloo Catholic District School Board who had a great passion for teaching. He had a life-long love of art and music and played several instruments. For many years, he was active in the Scouting movement. He enjoyed traveling to see historical and geographical sites and had a keen interest in nature, especially bird watching.
