THORSON, Elaine Geraldine

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Elaine at her residence in Puslinch on Thursday, December 21, 2017, at the age of 78 years.  She was the much loved mother of Rob Gogol (Danielle), the late Scott Gogol (1981) and the late Brad Gogol (2016) and daughter of Jennie Thorson (and the late Gerard).  Elaine was the loving grandmother of Karen and great grandmother of Molly.  She was the dear sister of Sheila Abercrombie (Michael) and Gayland Thorson (Rosemary).  Elaine will be fondly remembered by her good friend Mario, many nieces, nephews, friends and former students from her teaching years.  Friends may call at the GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 28 for a Memorial service with visiting for one hour prior.  Inurnment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park cemetery.  Memorial contributions to the Guelph Humane Society, Guelph Food Bank, Heart and Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Canada would be appreciated.
