Survived by his sister Doreen Karn of Guelph, his former wife, Ann Newstead of Meaford, and their children Bev Leighton, Paul Tolton, Donna (Dave) Heath, Tim (Donna) Tolton, and Melinda (Bill) Smith, 13 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren. He will be remembered many nieces and nephews and his sisters-in-laws, Verna of Guelph and Marg of Georgetown.
Predeceased by his parents James (1966) and Jessie (2000) Tolton, his brothers Melvin, Fred, and Laverne, sister-in-law, Fran and one granddaughter Jennifer Leighton.
Cecil grew up on a farm in Eden Mills and retired after 40 years of service at Fiberglass Canada. He loved his family fiercely, enjoyed horse racing, and supporting his family in their motor sports endeavours, whether in the pits, sweeping floors or building shelves.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Laird for his care and to the home care workers that visited daily.
At Cecil’s request, there will be no funeral, visitation, or memorial service.
