After a valiant and courageous battle with cancer, the family of Vittorio (Vic) Tucciarone are deeply saddened to announce the passing of their beloved husband, father, brother and Nonno.

Victor was born on July 25, 1936 in Tufo di Minturno, Latina, Italy. He is predeceased by his brothers Biagio, Giuseppe and Pasquale. He married and is survived by the love of his life Santina (Nee Latini) of 62 years, his children Perry and Cynthia Tucciarone (Alexandra/Wolfgang, Melanie/Greg and Kyrha), Vinnie and John Griese (Dylan, Adam, Emma and Jackson), Teresa and Glenn Henry (Zachary/Amanda, Victoria and Joshua), Lorry and Alexander Du (Jacob and  Jonathan) and Lisa and Scott Campbell (Lily and Owen). He is survived by siblings Maria (Alessandro), Antonio (Lina), and Mario (Dina), along with dozens of nieces and nephews who adored him as Zio Vic.

Vic was a generous and loyal friend to people in Etobicoke where he first started his life with Santina then to Guelph where he settled and lived his full and  happy life. He loved taking his grandchildren on searches through the woods teaching them how to pick wild mushrooms, fiddleheads and dandelion greens. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and spent endless hours making his home-made wine and sausage. Each summer you would find Vic maintaining his large gardens of beans, hot peppers and of course, tomatoes which the family jarred as sauce annually. You could always find Nonno cheering on his grandkids at either a hockey or soccer game, and see the pride in his face while he "coached" them from the sidelines. Win or lose, his words of encouragement were always given. No one adored his family more than Vic.

The family thanks the support from Care Partners, Bayshore Nursing, Dr. Robinson and Dr. Lisa Friars-Blit for his care over the past years. As well, a thank you to Dr. Phillips that gave us 2 extra years with him.

His family will receive friends at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, October 27, 2021. Mass will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Parish, 175 Emma St., Guelph on Thursday, October 28th at 10:30 a.m. Due to COVID restrictions and concerns, those wishing to attend visitation and/or the funeral mass must register using the RSVP tab on the funeral home website. Masks must be worn and social distancing maintained.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that memorial donations be made to Wellington Hospice, Autism Speaks Canada, or Sick Kids Hospital.
