Charles Randolph Valeriote
NOV. 26, 1955 – SEPT. 7, 2022

Died at Wellington Hospice due to complications of a stroke.

Predeceased by parents Dee and Evelyn and brother Larry. Survived by brothers Steve and Pete (Laurie), sister-in-law Marti, nieces Tara, Brittany, Alexandra, nephews Nate, Wes and Jordan and friends Steve and Marie Male.

Known as ‘Charlie’ to family and Chuck to his friends, he was a graduate of Conestoga College and spent his professional career as a welder and welding inspector, working at some of the largest industrial plants in Ontario including the Bruce Nuclear Plant.

Charlie was a goalie in the 1960’s GMHA and won league MVP in 1966-67 Novice division. His favourite goalies were Johnny Bower of the Leafs and Harold ‘Boat’ Hurley of the Guelph Regals.

An avid fisherman, Charlie was introduced to the sport by his grandfather Bill Hoag and became a well-known sportsman in the Saugeen region.

Cremation has occurred. The family will hold a private celebration of life.
