(Founder of Valeriote’s Market)
December 15, 1954 – January 21, 2021

Passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington, Guelph, surrounded by his
loving family on Thursday, January 21, 2021 after a valiant battle with
brain cancer. He was diagnosed with Glioblastoma in August 2019. Larry
Valeriote in his 67th year, was the beloved husband of Marti (DiCarlo)
Valeriote for 41 years. He was the loving father of Nate (Justine), Wes
and Alexandra. Larry was the son of the late Dominic (1997) and the late
Evelyn (Hoag) Valeriote (2018) and the dear brother of Charles, Stephen,
and Peter (Laurie). He was the dear brother-in-law of Brad DiCarlo
(Jeannetta), Mark DiCarlo (Peggy) and Chris DiCarlo (Linda).
Larry was uncle to many nieces and nephews.

After 29 years of working in the Corporate world, Larry decided to be
his own boss and founded Valeriote’s market where he loved every minute,
greeting customers with a smile. He created a staple within the
neighbourhood providing the best quality food for all. Retiring after
ten years, he left the Market in the capable hands of his business
partner Brian Schmeler.

Family meant everything to him and this was lovingly shown when he
hosted weekly Thursday Valeriote nights and Sunday DiCarlo nights which
would always consist of good food and lots of wine and tons of laughter.
He was a very fit and active man, with a great passion for fishing,
golfing, hiking and biking. Annual trips to Stoney Lake and Southampton
spent with many friends and relatives were the highlight of his years.

Larry had an amazing relationship with the Lord and we know that he is
now in his loving arms.
