At the age of 77, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 9 at Guelph General Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. She was born March 5, 1940 in Windsor to Agnes and John MacDonald. Margaret is survived by her beloved husband of over 50 years Charles and loving children David Vallance, Susan Kenny, Peggy (Buddy) Pembleton and Nancy (Sean) Myslik. Cherised grandmother to Kelsea, Kristin, Jayme, Samantha and Cassidy. In addition, Margaret touch hundreds of families through her educational career in both Windsor and Guelph. Special thanks to the tremendous support of the 4th floor staff at the Guelph General Hospital during this past week of Margaret’s stay. Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, on Wednesday from 7 - 9 p.m. and also on Thursday from 10 - 11 a.m. Memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Foundation of Guelph General Hospital would be appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory of Margaret E. Vallance in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 2:30 pm.
