Of Guelph, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 1st, 2019, in his 79th year.
Beloved husband of the late Jean Van Holst (nee Pyper) (April 2016). Loved father of Amy Van Holst, Marcia (Zane) Grant and Tim Van Holst. Papa will be sadly missed by Victoria, Joshua & Ethan Grant and Brianna, Jocelyn and Meagan Van Holst. Son of the late Cornelis and Weintje Van Holst. Dear Brother of Teuny (the late Arie) Nugteren, Kees (Hiek) Van Holst, Dik (Sjaan) Van Holst and the late Nanda (Sjaak) van Wensveen.
Friends will be received at Crestwicke Baptist Church, 400 Speedvale Ave. E., Guelph, Wednesday, December 4th (2-4 and 7-9 p.m.). Funeral service will be held at the church on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow in the church hall. Private family interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions to the Resurrection Christian Academy, Guelph or London Christian Academy would be appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory of Gerry Van Holst in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 20, 2020 at 2:30 pm.
