Freddy Veri, began his journey towards eternal life guided by the Light of Christ on Thursday, November 23, 2017 peacefully in his home with his family surrounding him with Love. Freddy Veri, age 79 years, was the beloved husband of 51 years of Vicki (Aimola) Veri of Guelph. He was the loving father of Roberto (Kelly) of Toronto, and Deanna Veri of Guelph. Freddy was the proud Nonno of Samuel, Anna, Rebecca, and Paolo Jr. Freddy was the much loved brother of Ernesto Veri (the late Elda), Eddie Veri and his wife Sonia, and the late Aldo (1946) and the late Angela (2016) (Carlo Marrocco). Freddy was predeceased by his parents Umberto (1995) and Nicoletta (Aimola) Veri (2016). He was the cherished son-in-law of Tony and Mafalda Aimola. Freddy was the dear brother-in-law of Sue and her husband Mike De Angelis, and Ron Aimola and his wife Joanne. Survived by many nieces and nephews.
Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, where the family will receive their friends on Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Vigil for Freddy will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place at Holy Rosary Church, 175 Emma St., Guelph, on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Entombment in Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Old-Growth Forest Project at the Ignatius Jesuit Centre, Guelph, or to the Chemotherapy Clinic at the Guelph General Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
