Of Guelph passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington Sunday, January 26th, 2020 at the age of fifty.
Beloved life partner of Shelina Lalani, and her children Ali Khan (Yana), their daughter Mila, Sheena (Ross) and one of the largest extended families in the Khamis family.
Also survived by his brother Mohib (Rose) Nephew Altaz, niece Farah.
His nephew Abid Mamdani from his predeceased sister Munira and predeceased brother-in-law Sikander.
Vahid is also predeceased by his loving parents Sakerkhan (mother) and Sadruddin (father).
Vahid was born in Nairobi, Kenya. He took great comfort in his devoutness to his religion and was an active member of the Ismaili community. Vahid was also known to be an avid soccer fan as well. He enjoyed waking up early to watch his favorite team Manchester United play and the World Cup.
Vahid, the proud owner and operator of New Age Health Food in Guelph since 1995 touched many by making the health food industry affordable for everyone and going the extra mile for his customers. He was well respected and loved by his employees / close friends Lillian Brett and TJ.
Vahid also leaves behind many cherished friends that will greatly miss his wonderful personality, generosity and companionship.

Friends and family will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 from 5-7 pm. Funeral service will be held at the Ismaili Centre, 93 Beechwood Ave., Guelph on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at  11 am. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park, Guelph.
