WALTON Darlene R

No Sappy Obit to say goodbye,
No words of sorrow to make you cry,
No regrets for the things you wished you had done.
For things left unsaid, for things left undone.

It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of an incredible woman Darlene Rose Walton (Lucas) She will be forever missed by her husband Gary, son Scott, daughter Ashley Taraborrelli (Robert) and her two grandchildren Morgan and Jackson. Predeceased and now reunited with her parents Don and Beryl Lucas. Survived by her brother Bill Lucas (Pat), twin sister Dolores Raycraft (John), Beth Costantini (Tony), and Paddie Lucas. Darlene will be truly missed by her friend and sister in law Marlynn Swanston (Murray). She will be terribly missed by her many nieces and nephews, and dear friend Debbie Clark.

Our hearts are all broken, but Dar would say, stop with the crying , the grieving for me. I lived my life large, and this time had to be. If there is anything I ask, it is to hold each other close. Take care of my family, I loved them the most.

Darlene touched the lives of many, as she was dedicated to health care and most proud of her 40 years at the Homewood Health Centre. Darlene never met an obstacle she couldn’t overcome. Special thanks to the staff at the Guelph General Hospital ICU for the compassion and care during her final days.

As a final act of giving, Darlene signed her Organ Donor card and bequeathed her lungs and eyes to the Trillium Program.

Visitation will take place at Wall Custance Funeral Home, 206 Norfolk St, Guelph Ontario, on Tuesday June 19th, 7-9 pm, and Wednesday June 20th, 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Followed by the Celebration of Life on Thursday June 21st, 2pm at Parkwood Gardens Community Church, 501 Whitelaw Rd, with reception to follow at the church.

Memorial contributions to the Homewood Research Institution, Guelph General Hospital ICU, and Parkwood Gardens Community Church would be greatly appreciated by the family.

A tree will be planted in memory of Darlene R. Walton in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 2:30 pm.
