Passed away peacefully at his home in his 73rd year on Monday, November 8, 2021.
 
Beloved husband of Gloria (Hunt) for 51 years. He will be deeply missed by his family – Gloria the love of his life and his two beautiful daughters Lori (Rob) Simioni, Leanne (Derek) Synnott and fur baby Kingsley. Loving grandpa to five amazing grandchildren Mathew, Brock, Nicholas, Brooklyn, Breanna and grand dogs Harvey and Jax. Predeceased by his parents Roy and Audrey (Evans) and brother Larry (Evelyn). He will be greatly missed by his favourite mother in law Evelyn Hunt (the late Ken Hunt). Also missed by brother in laws and sister in laws Ken Hunt, Brenda Darmon (Jack), Paul Hunt (Bonny) and Evelyn Weirmier and many nieces and nephews.
 
Dave has many things important to him, but family is number one. We have many cherished memories together. Dave also has a love and passion for classic cars. He has a sense of humour like no one else. He always had a story to tell. He loved to reminisce about the good old days. Dave is the best husband, dad, grandpa, uncle and friend. In life, we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts we hold a place, no one else will ever fill.
 
There will be a private family service on November 12, 2021 at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and Kidney Foundation. The family would like to thank Dr. Friedman and staff for their love and support, Dr. Popescu, Dr. Misterski, Dr. Bovell, St. Mary’s Hospital and Guelph General Hospital for the exceptional care.
