Wiley Christine MM

August 21, 1962 – May 28, 2021

A beautiful spirit has left this plane for a reserved seat in Heaven. The angels took her home at Guelph General Hospital on Friday, May 28 at 4:30 pm with her partner Murray and mom Helen by her side. Her passing was peaceful and gentle.  The nurses who cared for her were wonderful, skillful, and compassionate.

If you were lucky enough to have known her, then you would have been the recipient of her beautiful, fun-loving nature.  You were changed for the better.  Love always prevailed, along with her amazing sense of humor, which continued even until the end.

Christine was born in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania and came to Quebec in 1966 where she lived in Pierrefonds and Hemmingford, eventually, moving to Campbellville, and Kitchener, Ontario, where she received an honors degree from the University of Waterloo in psychology. Pursuing a variety of careers, Christine always made the best of every day, despite coping with illness most of her adult life.  She loved music, concerts, festivals, and live theatre.  She was an avid reader and has read almost every book you can imagine on health, science, psychology, spirituality, and Buddhism (to mention just a few). She loved to take you on. You'd wind up laughing, but you'd lose.

She is survived and sorely missed by her partner Murray Hayes, her mom Helen Noseworthy (Wiley), step mom Rita Cupitt and best friend, Karen Wendling.  Predeceased by her father Brian T. Wiley (2018) and step dad Don L. Noseworthy (2019).

Mourning her loss also are brother and sister Brian R. Wiley (Lori) of Kitchener and Pamela Murray (Keven) of Vancouver, half brother Brendan Wiley (Nadia Theriault) and half sister Leila Wiley (Jerry Rudd) of Guelph, who all loved her incredibly.

Niece and nephew Haydn and Rowan Wiley (Kitchener), Lance (Shannon) and Shael Murray of Vancouver are grieving, as well as extended family members: Trina Noseworthy of Alberta, the Andy and Donna Allan family of Nova Scotia, Darrell Noseworthy and Anna Aagaard of Thornbury and Brock Noseworthy of Vancouver.

Last but not least, her uncle Pat Carroll and large family in Connecticut and uncle and aunt (step) Art and Donna Noseworthy family of Quebec and Tracey Lee Quinn (soul sister) of Vancouver.  The Wiley family in Pennsylvania sends their condolences.

Rest in peace, sweet, cherished Christine.  We will meet again (and what a party that will be!)
