WITTY, Elaine Roberta (Wheatley)

Peacefully at Riverside Glen, Guelph on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the age of 92 years. Beloved wife for 66 years of the late Douglas Murray Witty (2011). Loving mother of Carol Lee Huber and her husband Paul, mother in law of Dina Witty (Ric) of Hillsburgh and Francine Witty of Guelph. Predeceased by sons Kirk Trevor Witty (December,1993), and Dennis Douglas Witty (July 2016). Cherished grandmother of Jennifer Brunskill (Scott) of Cambridge, Leanne Huber of Calgary, Kyle Witty (Maria), Tyler Witty (Aleisha) of Guelph & Rachael Witty (Ianthe) of Brisbane and great grandmother of Joseph, Madelyn and William Brunskill, and Jude and Joshua Witty.  Sadly missed by sisters in law Thelma Jones of Brockville, Betty Witty of Kingston, Sandra MacDonald (Roy) and Betty Witty both of Saulte St. Marie, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by her brothers in law Les, Roy, Garnet, Ronnie, Chester and Stewart Jones. Elaine will forever be remembered for her "witty" sense of humour, beautiful smile, caring heart and most generous spirit.  Friends may call at the GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph on Wednesday, November 1 from 2 – 4 p.m. Funeral service at the chapel at 4:00 p.m.  with The Rev. Brenda Woodall officiating. Cremation with Inurnment at Woodlawn Memorial Park at a later date. Memorial contributions to Hospice Wellington would be appreciated.
