Nature enthusiast, avid birder, science teacher, storyteller, and loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Remembered lovingly by his wife, Sandy, brother Allan (Ina), brother in-law Allan Stauffer (Josie), and daughters Valerie (Paul Grant), Christine Smith (Dale) and Jill Coolman (Jason). Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Beloved Grandfather of Colin, Jocelyn, Couper, Mitchell, Danica, Sydney, Brock and Quinn. He leaves a legacy of unconditional love and support. There is no question that family was the most important thing in Bryan's life.

Bryan was a memorable teacher who taught for close to 30 years at John F Ross, and never missed an opportunity to share his love and knowledge of nature. Many will remember him as a very enthusiastic co-owner of Wild Birds Unlimited, where he spent many weekends sharing his expertise of birds. Bryan was a loyal member of Nature Guelph for its entire 55-year history.

His family will receive friends at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph on Monday, November 8, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. A service to commemorate Bryan's life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m with interment at Farnham Cemetery. Due to COVID concerns and in accordance with provincial guidelines, guests must preregister on the funeral home website to attend his visitation and/or service. Masks are mandatory and social distancing will be in place. A live stream of the service will be available via the ZOOM link.

Bryan will be sadly missed by his family and the many lives he touched. In lieu of flowers, please consider supporting a local conservation effort, or a donation to Nature Conservancy Canada.
