YEREX, Elton

Passed away in Guelph, Ontario on Saturday, February 13.  Predeceased by his beautiful wife, Letitia Goberdhan and his well-remembered parents, Alfred Isaac and Clara.  Survived by his sister Alice Yerex and his sister-in-law Zadel Tackoor.  Dearest father of Catherine (Jean-Yves Dumaine) and Elizabeth (Paul Van Brug).  Grandfather to Victoria and Charlotte Dumaine and James Yerex.  He was born in Manitoba and raised in Winnipeg, later attending Neepawa highschool.  Elton graduated from the University of Manitoba (B.F.A.), University of Michigan (M.F.A.) and Wayne State University (M.A. Art History).  He taught in the Fine Art Department of the University of Guelph for many years.
His interests were in making abstract art and collecting antiques and paintings.  He enjoyed living history in his two homes designated architecturally significant for their period of construction.
Elton and his family wish to thank Dr. Paul Mendonca and Dr. Sid Brodovsky for their excellent care.
