Born in Stratford, Ontario on March 10, 1943 -

Bob passed away peacefully at the age of 78 at Lapointe-Fisher Nursing Home on December 19, 2021 with his loving partner of 25 years, Linda Longato, and daughter by his side. He will be missed by his daughters, Kelly Gordon (Robert) and Krista Zerback. Bob was predeceased by his Mother Emma Zerback (Hammer), his father, Walter and step-mother Marcella (McEwan) Zerback. He was the kind son-in-law of the late, Connie Rossini. Bob leaves behind his sister Karen Noble (Graham) and step-sister Sharon Jones (the late Ivor) and was the step-brother of the late Jimmy McEwan. He was the caring step-father to Diane Longato (Stephen Perry), Jason Longato (Lisa Sartori) and Cameron Longato. He was proud to be the step-grandfather to his five grandchildren, Adam, Nathan, Madelyn, Victoria and Sarah. He was the dear brother-in-law of Connie and Angus MacLachlan and Tony and Joy Gillis.

Bob was a friendly, kind and caring man to everyone he met and always had a funny story to share.

The family would like to thank the staff of Lapointe-Fisher for the exceptional care and attention that they provided Bob.

Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends for visitation at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph on Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 9:00am-10:00am. A Funeral Service will take place in the chapel following the visitation at 10:00am. A private family interment will take place at Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount Cemetery, Guelph.

The family would like to invite family and friends to a luncheon at the Italian Canadian Club, 135 Ferguson Street, at 11:30 p.m. following the funeral mass. Guests are required to RSVP their attendance to the visitation, funeral service and luncheon separately, via the funeral home website.

Due to COVID restrictions, masks must be worn and social distancing will be in place. Proof of vaccination and government identification is only required to attend the luncheon and must be presented there.

Memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Association of Canada or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences and donations can be made at www.gilbertmacintyreandson.com or in person by cash or cheque at the funeral home.
