ZETTLE, Nelson Herman

Nelson Herman Zettle, age 83, of Stratford and formerly from Maryhill, ON, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at Hillside Manor (Stratford). Born in Guelph, ON, son of the late Herman and Martina (Ellig) Zettle. Nelson is survived by his true love, best friend and dance partner Joyce (Hebbes) Zettle of 60 years married. Proud and loved father of Peter (Martha), Paul (Paolo), and Michael (deceased). Grandfather of Sonia (Aaron) and Jenna (Emma). Nelson will be remembered by his sister-in-law Patricia (Hebbes) Radford, brother in-law Ian Hebbes (deceased), and nieces. When not running the family business (Zettle Tractor and Equipment), Nelson loved to tinker with engines, antique clocks, model airplanes, and photography as well as their annual excursions to Jamaica. Joyce and her family would like to sincerely thank all the wonderful doctors, nurses, and staff of Hillside Manor and Stratford General Hospital for the exceptional care given to Nelson. The family invites friends and relatives to a Celebration of Nelson’s Life on Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 1-4 p.m., in the Reception Centre of the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St, Stratford.
