Zinger, Donald (Don) James passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Health Centre on June 22nd 2021. He is survived by his children Wayne (Diane Furlong), Cindy Taylor (Paul), Daughter in Law Karen Zinger and sister Ann Ciccia. Predeceased by his wife Eleanor (1992), their son Gregory (2019) and Don’s partner for many years Helen Woods (2015) of Brockville, he was loving grandfather to Jessica Myhre (Joel), Jeremy (Penny) Zinger, Amanda Zinger-Horwick (Jared), Matthew Zinger (Stacey), Joshua Zinger, Chadd Taylor (Amara), Brett Taylor (Taylor) and his 8 great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his many nieces and nephews, as well as Doug and Deb Woods who treated Don like a father. Don will also be missed by his close friend Helga Eade, who phoned him faithfully until the end.

Don will be remembered for his love of fishing, euchre with best friend Gerald Kurtz (2020) who predeceased him and has been playing lone hands in heaven for the past 16 months. Don was sure that when he arrives at the pearly gates, Gerald would be glad to see him and immediately show him to the card table where the games would begin.

Don will truly be missed by his family and friends.

Due to COVID 19 regulations, cremation has taken place and will be followed by a private family inurnment at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Donations in memory of Don can be made to Woodlawn Memorial Park Arbour Fund at www.woodlawnmemorialpark.ca where memories live on forever, or to a charity of your choice.
