Of Guelph, passed away peacefully at The Village of Riverside Glen on Friday, March 6, 2020, in her 90th year.
Beloved wife of the late James Zinger (1999). Loved stepmother of Terry Zinger (Cathy), Mike Zinger (Colleen), Willie Zinger, Ron Zinger (Diane) and the late Rick Zinger (1957).
Loving grandmother of Nicholas, Curtis, Becky, James, Gennifer, Taryn, Veronica, David and six great-grandchildren. Beloved daughter of Stanley Tiller and Mildred Deans. Predeceased by her brother Donald. Will be fondly remembered by extended family and friends.
Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate, 28 Norfolk St., Guelph on Friday, March 13, 2020 at 11 am. Reception to follow in the church hall. Interment Belsyde Cemetery, Fergus.
Memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory of Joan E. Zinger in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 20, 2020 at 2:30 pm.
