A Breslau man faces an impaired driving charge after colliding with another vehicle Tuesday afternoon and fleeing the scene, police report.

Just before 1 p.m., police received a call about a possible impaired driver who collided with a parked vehicle at a business on Woodlawn Road West. A witness spoke to the male and believed he was impaired as his speech was slurred and he seemed confused.

The vehicle was located a short distance away and pulled over. While speaking to the driver officers detected a strong odour of alcohol on his breath. The man was unsteady on his feet and could not answer simple questions. After several requests he refused to provide a breath sample.

A 42-year-old man is charged with refusing to provide a breath sample and failing to report a collision. His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for seven days. He will appear in court March 15.
