Driver nabbed going twice the speed limit on Speedvale: police

Licence automatically suspended for 30 days, vehicle impounded for two weeks

An Aurora man, 22, had his vehicle impounded and his licence suspended by police after being stopped for allegedly going twice the speed limit on Speedvale Avenue West on Monday.

As noted in a tweet from the Guelph police traffic unit, a vehicle was stopped after it was spotted travelling 120 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone.

In addition to a speeding charge, the accused had his licence suspended for 30 days and the vehicle he was driving impounded for two weeks.
