A Guelph woman faces charges after taking off from police last month.
Approximately 3:15 a.m. May 10, officers patrolling in the area of Willow Road and Silvercreek Parkway North attempted to stop a vehicle as the plates were not registered to the vehicle. The vehicle initially slowed, then took off at a high rate of speed.
Officers did not pursue in the interest of public safety, however the driver was identified via surveillance video from a nearby business.
On Wednesday the same woman was observed driving the vehicle on Stone Road East and was stopped.
A 33-year-old woman is charged with dangerous driving, flight from police, possessing stolen property and several Highway Traffic Act offences.
