Police lay charges after prohibited weapons seen for sale in store

A Guelph store owner faces charges after police say they observed prohibited weapons displayed for sale inside the store.

On Monday, Guelph police officers were at the business in the city’s north end on an unrelated matter when they observed brass knuckle knives for sale in a display case. The knives are considered prohibited weapons under the Criminal Code of Canada.

A 51-year-old Guelph male is charged with four counts of possessing prohibited weapons and four counts of possessing prohibited weapons contrary to a court order. He will appear in a Guelph court Aug. 3.
