Police seek catalytic converter thief spotted by victim

Looking out her window early Sunday morning, a woman living spotted a man under her SUV. She banged on the window and the man fled, but not without her catalytic converter.

As explained in a police news release, the incident happened at about 2:40 a.m. in the area of Imperial Road North and Woodlawn Road West.

The victim attempted to follow the man, but when she started her vehicle the sound from the exhaust was described as very loud.

At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing all black and carried a backpack. He was seen on video getting into a white pickup truck with red markings on the doors.
