A Guelph man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing that left another man with serious injuries earlier this month.
On June 2 police were called to a residence near Eramosa Road and Speedvale Avenue East. The caller advised two males had attacked her 25-year-old son when he went outside to speak to them.
He sustained lacerations to his abdomen and arm and was transported to a Hamilton trauma centre. He has since been treated and released. Police believe the incident was targeted and a knife was recovered at the scene.
Last Friday, a 26-year-old Guelph man turned himself in to police. He is charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, assault, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose and uttering threats. He was held for a bail hearing.
The investigation is ongoing.
